Accounts Services Coordinator

Location: Burnaby, BC

Our Accounting Team is looking for an Accounting Services Coordinator specializing in Accounts Payable to enhance and maintain our Accounts Payable processes in order to deliver exceptional experiences for both internal and external stakeholders. Reporting to the Accounting Services Manager, you will bring your passion for details, numbers, organization and data analysis to ensure that day-to-day AP functions are operating smoothly and efficiently. This role will support Watson Gloves’ overall corporate objectives for growth, process improvement and a commitment to providing engaging and authentic service to all of our customers. At Watson Gloves we do all of this in a fun and family-oriented environment.

YOUR core responsibilities:

  • Communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Administration of all Accounts Payable functions.
  • Vendor account reconciliations and monthly review.
  • Assist in month-end analysis functions.

  • You have experience with an ERP software and MS Office.
  • You have a post-secondary education in Accounting.

The Role:

We are looking for an IT EDI SPECIALIST to join the Watson Gloves Family.  The IT EDI Specialist is a key member of the IT Team who will propel client relationships forward by providing and supporting business communication solutions to better serve our customers and internal staff.  This role is responsible for development, implementation, maintenance, evaluation and troubleshooting issues related to Electronic Data Interchange.  Reporting to the IT Manager, this role is for you if you are analytical, have a high attention to detail, strong communication skills and a track record of delivering exceptional customer service! You will become the support guru to all customers, internal and external stakeholders for all things EDI.

YOUR core responsibilities:

  • Monitor Daily EDI Processing
  • Import sales orders for EDI compliant customers
  • Review, prepare and communicate EDI import price discrepancy reports
  • Work with distribution to ensure accuracy of EDI orders
  • Coordinate invoicing for all EDI orders
  • Verify successful communications with assigned VAN(s)
  • Work with VAN(s) and trading partners to resolve transmission issues with any of the EDI doc sets
  • Work with trading partners, EDI contractors, and internal teams to troubleshoot data and mapping issues i.e. UPC, SKU, UOM, and x-ref tables
  • Maintain EDI documentation and filing systems
  • Co-ordinate, plan, and execute new trading partner EDI implementations
  • Maintain inventory and location x-ref tables for each trading partner

Who YOU are:

  • You have prior experience working directly with IT and as customer support
  • You have basic knowledge of SQL database and queries
  • You are analytical, have strong attention to detail, and are a strong multi-tasking, organization
  • Previous experience with EDI transactions an asset
  • 2 plus years of customer service
  • Experience working with an ERP system an asset (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics GP)
  • Post-secondary education in IT, Commerce, Operations or equivalent
