CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
COMMUNITY
Community
We’re always making an effort to give back to the community, whether that’s partnerships with foundations, holding fundraisers, or food, clothing and money donations to local communities. Check out our current partnerships and how #WatsonGivesBack.
Volunteer Policy
It is important to giveback to our communities and support our employees who wish to do the same as well. That’s why a few years ago we implemented a Watson Gloves employee Volunteer policy! As per the policy, employees are able to donate work time to volunteer at a registered charity. In short, if they volunteer for 3 hours at the event on the Saturday, the equivalent amount of time off will be given to the Employee within 1 week after that date as approved by their manager.
Each employee that donates their time to a registered charity will receive up to one full working day, one time per year, based on the number of hours donated.
Clothing/Food Drives
The teams at all 3 branches (Vancouver, Calgary, and Mesa) always find ways to give back to their local communities. Especially in the winter season, you can find the teams in action packing full boxes and pallets of warm winter clothing, such as jackets and of course, gloves, for those less fortunate and donating them to the their local charities.
Wounded Warriors
Watson Gloves is proud to partner with Wounded Warriors Canada™ and donate partial proceeds from the sale of our Shock Trooper gloves to the organization, which provides support to first responders. Since the beginning of our partnership, we’ve raised a total of $172,300. Wounded Warriors Canada™ is an organization that helps veterans, first responders and their families.
We are also proud to announce that we have partnered with Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) in the United States as a Corporate Supporter. The WWP is the USA’s leading veterans service organization, dedicated to the total well-being of post-9/11 wounded, ill, or injured veterans and their families. From mental health and physical wellness to Veterans Affairs benefits assistance, peer support, and more, the WWP is changing the way the nation cares for veterans and helping them thrive for a lifetime.
To kickstart our partnership, Watson Gloves has donated $10,000 for our first year as a Corporate Supporter. It is an honour to be partnered with an organization that has such a great cause, and we look forward to being a proud Corporate Supporter of WWP for many years to come.

Team Rubicon
Team Rubicon Canada is a veteran-led humanitarian organization serving communities before, during and after disasters and crises. For a decade, Team Rubicon Canada has stood shoulder to shoulder with communities in crisis, deploying where the need is greatest, from wildfire zones to flood recovery sites and beyond. Over 4,300+ volunteers, known proudly as Greyshirts, draw on their skills and experience as military veterans and first responders to deliver hope and hands-on support to communities across Canada. The work is hard and messy, and Watson Gloves has ensured that it is also safe through the donation of industry leading gloves for all the volunteers in the field.
Critter Care Wildlife Society
Watson Gloves proudly supports Critter Care Wildlife Society, an organization that specializes in the treatment, care, and release of sick, injured, and orphaned Native Mammal species in BC. We supply gloves to Critter Care Wildlife Society so that their staff can safely take care of the animals.
Helping Families in Need Society
Watson Gloves helps support the ‘Helping Family in Need Society’ a small group of dedicated volunteers who pick up and distribute used household items to women in transition, single moms, single dads and senior on income assistance, new immigrant families, refugees and needy families in our community. They work with over 85 community, government and charitable organizations across the Lower Mainland to directly help more than 1,300 families each year.
