We are an equal opportunity employer that grants opportunities of employment and advancement regardless of race, colour, place of origin, religion, immigrant and newcomer status, ethnic origin, ability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, and age.
Suppliers Confidence
As a company that sources goods overseas, we work with independent auditors to ensure our suppliers meet ISO 9001 standards.
We work with QIMA to ensure all of our products coming from overseas are inspected for quality control and compliance to international standards. This ensures that our gloves meet not only our quality and safety performance standards but also official standards. Learn more here.
Fighting Against Forced & Child Labour in Supply Chains
As you may be aware, new legislation has been enacted in Canada which requires reporting on certain companies producing, selling, or distributing goods in Canada or elsewhere, or importing goods into Canada, regarding their activities, risks identified, and actions taken regarding forced labor or child labor. Watson Gloves takes its obligations under the Act seriously.
As part of our commitment to ethical business practices and transparency in our operations, we wish to provide you with information on the efforts the Company currently takes to address the issues of forced and/or child labor:
- 3rd party social compliance audits completed annually where documentation is sent back to Watson Gloves. If a corrective action report is provided, all required actions are followed up on with documentation proving completion.
- A vendor code of conduct is signed annually that strictly prohibits all forms of forced labour and other ethical infractions.
- Factory visits by senior management
- Our own Canadian factory is a part of the Workers United BC Joint Council
- Subcontracting is strictly prohibited, which minimizes the risk of unknown forced labour
- Encouragement of further factory certifications proving ethical business, fair employment, and a safe environment.
Reports under the Act are to be submitted by May 31 each year and must be posted on our website below.
